It allows the user to keep track of two completely different time zones so you can always know the time in your'other' favorite location. GMT is set independ e ntly of main time. Once set, it will keep time in unison with standard time.
This classic timepiece is apx 18 years of age yet remains in an overall fairly decent used shape as it was enjoyed in gentle moderation during this time frame and always well cared for. Mineral crystal does appear to have many fine hairlines which are not well pronounced or easily noticed. Dial is crisp & clear.Light to moderate scuffs & scratches noted to the polished metals. The OEM leather straps were on the stiff and cracking side so an aftermarket set of leather straps were installed recently but did get some usage since installing.
Also need to note that the watch lug width is 23mm and the strap width is 22mm. Still has a good fit but can clearly see in pic's this discrepancy. Anybody familiar with the Infantry watches should know that even the OEM straps came a bit on the small side and would show a small gap from the lugs to the strap fitment. With all that said, it's an attractive piece that still presents itself fairly well on the wrist. Study the pic's and judge for yourself.These Infantry's are a rare breed and just plain cool and will always be in style. The classic GMT version is not often found in the market which is all the more reason to want to own one. If I failed to verbally mention something that you notice in pic's then you can consider it as described as the pic's speak for themselves. Watch has always been professionally maintained and cleaned and will arrive free of any accumulated dirt or grime from past usages. Recently fitted with a fresh Energizer battery and running strong. Dual time GMT feature works flawlessly.
I would recommend having the seals checked prior to any water related activities just to be safe. Some specifics : This is the largest full size model made from the classic Infantry division. Wa tch measures just over 1 9 /16 or 40mm across case excluding crown, crown guards and lugs.Width between the lugs is 23mm with a 22mm strap installed. Included is the awesome classic watch only (as seen in pic's/excluding background props).
No boxes or manual but watch is relatively. Pull crown out to 1st position and rotate clockwise to adjust date. Rotate crown CCW to adjust GMT. Crown fully extended (2nd position) to adjust main time. Every effort will be made to package securely so it arrives safely. The watch pictured is the actual watch you will receive and come's from a.
