In October 27, 1968, Prime Minister Harry Wilson of the United Kingdom initiated a test to maintain British Standard Time (GMT) at +1 throughout the year.

This experiment lasted for three years until it ended on October 31, 1971. During this period, London's time was aligned with Paris.

Seiko, known for their precision, placed London after GMT on the bezel, just above Paris, demonstrating their meticulous attention to detail. Interestingly, this bezel became known as the "Error Bezel" because it had to be changed once again in October 1971.
