The barrel lid had an unusual hole drilled in it, so that has been replaced with an unmolested one. A calendar plate screw was split so that has also been replaced. The movement has a securing screw sheared off in the plate and despite my best efforts I can't remove it, this is due I'm sure to previous ham fisted attempts which have peened both ends over. This means the movement is secured by the movement ring but no screws because if only one screw is fitted (there should be two) the movement doesn't sit level which prevents the rotation of the inner bezel. However, the only time you'll notice the lack of screws is a slight movement of the movement to one side when you pull the crown to set the time or date, apart from this you wouldn't know.
The crystal was full of small stress cracks and needed to be replaced so whilst the case was stripped for the new crystal I ultrasonically cleaned it and all the case components. One thing to be aware of is the watch is in no way waterroof with a snap on caseback, so be aware and don't submerge the watch, it will be fine for day to day wear of course. Please see photos as these describe the condition much better than I can. If you have any questions, please send them through.
