VOSTOK Automatic Movement No hand winding required, but the watch can still be wound with winding stem if it hasn't been used for some time. Fully wound watches run at least 31 hours. In 1967, specially commissioned by the USSR Navy at the Chistopolis watch factory "Vostok" were made the first watches "Amphibia", which became the iconic product of the time. Amphibia watches flawlessly worked at depths of up to 200 meters in conditions of significant temperature and pressure fluctuations. In the 1970s, together with the Ministry of Instrumentation, Automation and Control Systems, GLAVCHASPROM began to produce special wrist watches designed for work underwater at depths of up to 300 meters - wrist diver watches.

In 1975, the Amphibia watch went into space as part of the first expedition to the Salyut-4 space station in the Soyuz-17 spacecraft. The watch was part of the equipment of the station's flight engineer Georgiy Mikhailovich Grechko. The flight lasted 29 days. The watch is supplied on a metal bracelet.
