Montblanc 117840 1858 Geosphere, Bronze on a calfskin strap Bunt strap double deployant buckle, automatic Montblanc calibre MB 29.25, 42-hour power reserve, black dial with vintage-toned luminous Arabic and stick hour markers, "cathedral-shaped" hands, two domed globes - one at 12 o'clock representing the northern hemisphere and another a 6 o'clock representing the southern hemisphere - turn in opposite directions and complete a full rotation each 24 hours, date at 3 o'clock, second time zone register at 9, sapphire crystal, solid caseback engraved with Mont Blanc and crossed climbing tools, water resistant to 100 meters, diameter: 4smm, thickness: 13mm. This is a bronze and titanium Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Dual Time 117840. It includes a brown'sfumato' aged calf leather Bund strap with beige stitching coming from the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence with a folding deployment clasp and a scratch resistant domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

It has a signed screw down winding crown, a corrector at 10 o'clock on the left side case band for the date, and a solid screw down case back with a gold Montblanc medallion with the mountain and the crossed climbing tools with a compass and it's engraved with MONTBLANC - PUNCAK JAYA - VINSON - KILIMANJARO - ACONCAGIUA - DENALI - EVEREST - MOUNT ELBRUS - SWISS MADE - 10BAR - 1858 - TITANIUM/ BRONZE - LIMITED EDITION 0000/1858 - GEOSPHERE, listing the Seven Summit mountaineering challenge with the names of the seven mountains. The 42mm diameter solid three-body round case, curved lugs, and flat ceramic rotating black bezel with luminous compass points, are brushed bronze. The dial is black with applied gold Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock and pointed small baton hour indices all with white minute/second Arabic numerals every five seconds to 60. It has "cathedral" style gold hands with needle tips and around the gold perimeter rehaut is a black railway-style minute/second scale. There are twin black and gold domed rotating globes at 12:00 and 6:00 with 24-hour gold and black day/night outer rings with Arabic numerals; the northern hemisphere at 12 o'clock rotates anticlockwise while the southern hemisphere at 6 oclock turns clockwise, both moving 365 degrees every 24-hours.

There is a recessed circular black second time zone at 9 o'clock with white Arabic numerals and a gold indicator hand, and a date aperture window is at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Dual Time 117840 has a mechanical automatic Montblanc caliber MB 29.25 (based on the Sellita caliber SW300-1) movement with the world time module built by Mont Blanc. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 26 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber system, a Nivaflex flat hairspring, and a Glucydur monometallic balance. It includes a ball bearing mounted rotor, a stop second system for precision time setting, and a single spring barrel. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).

The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Dual Time 117840 was released in 2018 in a limited edition to 1858 examples along with the identical Montblanc reference 119347 that has a conventional cognac-colored strap, and which comprises half of the edition.
