With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are. This watch is wears true to form and is a classicly sized at 38mm.
I can recommend this watch for almost any male or female. I suppose a very, very large wrist man may want to go with something greater than 40mm. The brilliant dial is wonderfully subtle and complex. Exquisite Night and Day phase window takes over the eye-candy aspect while a bold second time zone and discreet date function brings functionality, elegance and symetry to the dial. This is a timepiece for a stylish person.
Wonderful presence for the right man but can work as an oversized play for a stylish female as well. I view this is a discreet big city watch --- best worn anywear near people who understand fine horology, a "sharp" look is needed and a positive, positive image is desired. The details make the watch from the stunning dial, to the impressive case and lugs to the visual treat that is the Genta design. The crown is also very interesting. Take it to the best restaurant in your city, any type of art exhibit or close that important business meeting in this one.
The build quality on this watch is extraordinary - particularly for the price. You get a Swiss movement from a recognized and well appreciated pedigree brand of an iconic horology designer with a luxury history. The case is exceptionally well made and to me is very cosmopolitan. Again, this is a strikingly beautiful watch with a city watch style of case for a discerning, successful person.
From a complication perspective, this rocks a Date, quick adjustment second time zone and Night & Day second timezone uility. Note that the Sun and Moon are tied to the second time zone (red hand) so that one can quickly see the time of the 2nd time zone. Practically, one sets the normal hours and minutes to your local time zone and the red hand at your home time so that you know what your friends and family are going through (day or night). I envision this one being worn by a successful working and travelling professional or perhaps as a 3rd, 4th or 5th luxury watch to take to watch meetings, fun Friday's, dinner and drinks on week-ends. It can be a workhorse or a stylish showhorse.
One really cool feature - that I have seen copied by Patek - is that the second time zone hour hand can be hidden underneath the local time zone hour hand. This is one of those stellar features that should be celebrated and incorporated more widely in fine timepiece design. The aftermarkets straps are wonderful and high-quality and most feature a quick swap feature as well. You get a nice Fashionphile bag and box for storage as well to round out the listing.
Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation.
